Brian Dillon

Brian Dillon has been working in the education and construction industries for over 25 years. Brian started their career as a carpenter in the New Zealand Army, before moving into carpentry and construction in the UK. In 2000, they returned to New Zealand to take up a teaching role at Bay of Plenty Polytechnic, where they spent seven years developing and delivering carpentry programmes.

In 2007, Brian moved into academia, taking up the role of Faculty Dean for Primary Industries, Trades & Infrastructure at Toi Ohomai. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing the delivery of a wide range of programmes, from engineering and construction to agriculture and horticulture. Brian is passionate about ensuring that students have the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their chosen field, and is always looking for ways to improve the delivery of programmes and the student experience.

Brian Dillon has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Waikato, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Studies (Distinction) from the University of Waikato, and a Diploma in Business from Bay of Plenty Polytechnic. Brian also has an Advanced Trade Certificate in Carpentry from the NZ Army.

They are on a team with Bart Vosse - Faculty Dean, Business, Design & Service Industries, Jeni Fountain - Faculty Dean, Health, Education & Environment, and Anthony Roberston - Executive Director, Corporate Services. and Dan Taylor - Associate Dean, Primary Industries, Trades & Infrastructure reports to Brian Dillon. Brian Dillon reports to Leon Fourie, Chief Executive.
