Principal Product Engineer at Tokyo Electron

Lauren Otto has a diverse work experience in the field of semiconductor manufacturing and engineering. Lauren is currently working as a Principal Product Engineer at Tokyo Electron US since 2023. Prior to this, Lauren was the Founder and CEO of Laminera, a company focused on developing new plasma-based methods for semiconductor manufacturing. Lauren also had a role as a Pad-13 Program Participant at Berkeley SkyDeck in 2023. In 2015, Lauren worked at Berkeley Lab as a Molecular Foundry User and LBNL Affiliate, where they specialized in plasma processing and atomic layer deposition. Between 2020 and 2023, Lauren was the Director of Chip Realization at Mekonos Inc., where they played a key role in hiring and building the Chip team. Lauren also worked as a Principal MEMS Engineer and a Senior MEMS Engineer at Mekonos Inc., where they led the design and optimization of BioMEMS and contributed to intellectual property. Lauren's previous work experience includes roles at the University of California, Berkeley, Cyclotron Road, Photia Incorporated, University of Minnesota, and HGST (a Western Digital company).

Lauren Otto completed their Bachelor's Degree in Physics and Mathematics at Bethel University from 2008 to 2012. Lauren then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering at the University of Minnesota from 2012 to 2017.
