Rob Pierce

SVP, Planning & Development at Tomlinson

Rob Pierce has over 25 years of experience in the field of urban planning and development. Rob is currently the SVP of Planning & Development at Tomlinson, a position they have held since January 2017.

Pierce began their career in urban planning with the Department of National Defence in 1985, where they worked for 11 years as a military officer. Rob then transitioned to The City of Calgary, where they worked as an urban planner for two years. In 1998, they left the public sector to join FOTENN Consultants Inc. as a senior planner.

In 2005, Pierce joined Monarch Corporation as the Director of Land for their Ottawa division. Rob was responsible for land acquisition, planning approvals, engineering approvals, and project management of residential subdivision developments. Rob held this position for 10 years before moving to Mattamy Homes in 2015, where they served as Vice President of Land Development for two years.

Pierce has been with Tomlinson since 2017 and has been instrumental in the company's growth and success.

Rob Pierce has a Master of Environmental Design from the University of Calgary in Urban Planning, a Bachelor's degree in Geography from Simon Fraser University, and an Ivey Executive Program from The Ivey Academy at Ivey Business School.

Rob Pierce works with Francis Brazeau - GM, Ready Mix, Adam Hendriks - GM, Sewer & Watermain, and Graziela Girardi - GM, Heavy Civil. Rob Pierce reports to Ron Tomlinson, CEO.
