Gerald Tan

Gerald Tan is the COO and CRO at TomNext, where work focuses on pioneering technology to digitize investments in alternative assets through blockchain and artificial intelligence since May 2024. Previously, Gerald held various director roles at Citi from October 2008 to April 2024, including leading a risk management team for innovation in artificial intelligence, blockchain, and crypto. With extensive experience in evaluating new business initiatives and developing commodity investment products, Gerald contributed significantly to Citi’s proprietary commodities index business and global risk management across multiple business lines. Earlier in Gerald's career at J.P. Morgan, contributions included co-developing the JPMorgan Commodity Curve Index and leading emerging markets quantitative strategy efforts. Gerald holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Swarthmore College, participated in the Business Bridge Program at The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, and studied at Wadham College, University of Oxford.
