Sanjay Bharadwaj, PhD has a diverse work experience in various engineering and technology roles. Sanjay'smost recent position is as the VP of Engineering at Tonbo Imaging, where they have been since January 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Mechatronics and Stabilized Imaging Platforms at Tonbo Imaging from April 2017 to December 2021.
Before joining Tonbo Imaging, Sanjay worked at Skanray Technologies as the Chief Architect of Advanced Technologies from May 2013 to March 2017. Sanjay also worked at Philips Healthcare as a System Architect for Mother & Child Care from January 2010 to April 2013, and as a Program Manager for Computed Tomography from April 2007 to January 2010.
Earlier in their career, Sanjay held the position of Research Director at IMI Vision, where they led strategic technology development activities from July 2005 to April 2007. Sanjay also worked as a Senior Principal Engineer at Honeywell Technology Solutions, Inc., leading a team of engineers to develop physics-based simulation models and innovative sensor technologies from August 2003 to July 2005.
Sanjay began their career at GE Global Research as a Control Systems Project Lead from February 2000 to August 2003. Overall, they have a strong background in engineering management and innovation, with expertise in advanced imaging platforms, medical technologies, and sensor development.
Sanjay Bharadwaj, PhD, earned their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, from 1990 to 1994. Sanjay then pursued their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from UC Irvine, from 1994 to 1996. Following this, Sanjay Bharadwaj went on to obtain their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from UC Irvine between 1996 and 1999. In 2006 to 2007, they attended the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, completing the Executive General Management Program. Additionally, Sanjay Bharadwaj holds certifications in "Bullet Proof Manager" from Crestcom International, LLC, and "Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Green Belt" and "Lean Six Sigma" from GE and Honeywell Technology Solutions, Inc., respectively.
