Ranjeetha Hirawan

Ranjeetha Hirawan has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Ranjeetha started their career at KBR, Inc. as a Candidate Process Engineer, where they designed safety devices and control valves. Ranjeetha then moved on to Illovo Sugar, where they worked as a Chemical Engineer in Training and later as a Process and Energy Engineer. During this time, they gained experience in process and energy optimization. Currently, they are working at Tongaat Hulett as a Project Manager and Category Lead for Group Strategic Sourcing. Their responsibilities include leading procurement projects, ensuring compliance to governance, improving client relationships, and analyzing spend data. Overall, Ranjeetha has extensive experience in project management, process design, and procurement.

Ranjeetha Hirawan has a strong educational background in chemical engineering. Ranjeetha obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2002, followed by a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the same institution in 2004. In 2010, they completed a 10-week sugar course at the Sugar Milling Research Institute. Ranjeetha further expanded their knowledge in the field of business and management by attending the Management Development Program at Stellenbosch Business School in 2017. More recently, in 2020, they pursued a degree in Business Systems Analysis at the University of Cape Town.
