Palani Thangaraj

Palani Thangaraj is a seasoned data professional with extensive experience in data engineering and machine learning. Currently serving as a Senior Data Engineer at Tools for Humanity since September 2024, Palani previously held the role of Machine Learning/Data Engineer at Atomic from November 2021 to August 2024, where modern lakehouse architectures were designed and Databricks environments were architected using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. At Homie, from May 2019 to October 2021, Palani built data lakes and warehouses utilizing Azure and SQL Server, alongside roles as a Data Analyst assisting top executives. An earlier internship at University Growth Fund provided exposure to venture capital analysis, including due diligence and investment recommendations. Academic foundations were laid with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Utah, completed in 2020.
