Frank-Oliver Karutz

Frank-Oliver Karutz has extensive work experience in various leadership roles at major companies. Frank-Oliver began their career at The Boston Consulting Group as a Project Manager, where they worked from 1999 to 2003. Frank-Oliver then joined Carl Zeiss AG, initially serving as the Director of New Business Generation from 2003 to 2005, before taking on the role of Director of Multimedia Devices from 2006 to 2011. During their time at Carl Zeiss Vision, they focused on developing strategies for photochromic lenses from 2011 to 2011. Karutz then moved to Carl Zeiss Meditec in 2011, where they worked as the Director of Business Sector Dental and ENT Office until 2012, before being promoted to the position of Vice President of Visualization Solutions, a role they held until 2014. Frank-Oliver subsequently joined Carl Zeiss Microscopy GmbH, occupying various positions such as Senior Director of Segment Marketing QA/QC and Natural Resources from 2014 to 2015, Project Lead in a restructuring project from 2014 to 2015, and finally as the Senior Director of Global Sales from 2015 to 2017. Frank-Oliver is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at tooz technologies GmbH, a position they have held since November 2017.

Frank-Oliver Karutz completed their education with an MBA from INSEAD in 1998. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in physics at the University of Stuttgart from 1989 to 1997, earning a Dr. rer. nat.
