Max Richman has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles.
Starting in 2006, they worked as a Geographic Information Specialist at USAID/OTI until 2010.
In 2009, Max became a Data Manager at iMMAP, where they led post-disaster survey data collection and analysis in Myanmar.
In 2012, they worked as a Research Consultant on Education Programs in Myanmar for UNICEF.
From 2013 to 2013, Max held two positions as a Field Manager Consultant at Caerus Associates and as a Mapping Consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank.
In 2013, Max joined InterMedia: Communication Research as a Research Analyst and later became a Research Technologist.
During their time at InterMedia, they developed data analysis techniques and helped clients increase market share in emerging markets. Max also contributed to improving financial inclusion and mobile money understanding in Sub-Saharan Africa for the Gates Foundation.
From 2013 to 2018, Max worked at GeoPoll, where they held several roles including Senior Data Scientist, Chief Data Scientist, and Vice President of Research and Customer Success. Max oversaw the development of an audience measurement subscription service and managed a team delivering market research insights to major CPGs.
In 2018, Max joined Arcadia as a Senior Quantitative Analyst, and later became an Analytics Manager and Senior Manager of Data Science. At Arcadia, they developed CAC and funnel drop-off reporting, applied statistical models to estimate COVID electric bill spikes, and led the growth analytics function for the direct-to-consumer community solar line of business.
In 2020, Max became Treasurer/CFO at Akyn Wines.
Currently, they are working as an Analytics Engineering at Topanga.io since 2023.
Max Richman completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs and Development Studies at The George Washington University. Max studied at this institution from 2004 to 2008. Max then pursued further education at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2010 to 2011, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Social Research Methods.
