Pramod Mathur is a seasoned geneticist with extensive experience in animal genetics and research leadership. Since January 2009, Pramod has served as a Senior Geneticist at Topigs Norsvin Research, where responsibilities include project planning and execution, chairing the Health and Environment Platform, and directing PigGen Canada. Previously, from 2004 to 2009, Pramod was the Director of the Canadian Farm Animal Genetic Resources Foundation, focusing on genetic preservation initiatives. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2008, Pramod held the position of Chief Geneticist at the Canadian Centre for Swine Improvement, where contributions included developing industry strategies and securing funding for vital research projects. Pramod's academic background includes a Doctor of Science in Agriculture with a focus on Animal Genetics from Technische Universität Berlin, as well as Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Veterinary Science and Veterinary Medicine from Mohanlal Sukhadia University.
