Felipe Contreras

Felipe Contreras has a background in software engineering. Felipe began their career in 2013 as a Summer Intern at Laboratorio de Planificación Minera, UAI, and repeated the role in 2014. In 2015, they took a Summer Intern role at Laboratorio de Educación, CMM, Universidad de Chile. In 2017, they joined Synopsys Inc as a Senior R&D Engineer, where they were responsible for C++ Software Development, optimizing performance of geometric algorithms ran in distributed systems, debugging and implementing enhancements and new features. In 2021, they joined Topsort as a Senior Software Engineer.

Felipe Contreras completed a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Engineering at Universidad de Chile between 2010 and 2016. Felipe then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics at the same university, which they completed in 2016. Felipe also holds a certification from ICPC - International Collegiate Programming Contest, known as ICPCID.
