Bernhard Rolle

Bernhard Rolle is a seasoned professional in engineering and software development with extensive experience in the automotive and aerospace sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager and Staff Software Engineer at Torc Robotics since February 2023, Bernhard has previously worked at Daimler Truck AG, focusing on software engineering for simulation and virtual testing of autonomous driving technologies. At the University of Stuttgart, Bernhard led the Construction Robotics Group and conducted postdoctoral research on robotic construction strategies while also mentoring doctoral researchers. As a doctoral researcher, Bernhard contributed to a project on predictive energy management for battery electric vehicles. Earlier roles at Airbus included a System Engineer position involved in hydraulic system research for the A350 and new engine options, as well as vocational training as an Aircraft Mechanic. Bernhard holds a Dr.-Ing. in Model Predictive Energy Management and advanced degrees in Engineering Cybernetics and Mechanical and Production Engineering from the University of Stuttgart and Hochschule Bremen, respectively.
