Senior Software Engineer at Torch

Michelle Vick has worked for a variety of companies since 2013. In that year, they were a Girl's Day Assistant at St. Bonaventure University, where they learned to coordinate large groups and troubleshoot problems, as well as practice effective public speaking skills. In 2014, they began working as a Cashier at The Home Depot, where they handled transactions, assisted customers with various issues, collaborated with associates across departments, and kept the front end moving in an organized fashion. This job gave their a strong work ethic and interpersonal skills. In 2017, they began working as a Repair Technician at Meyers Custom Electronics and a Program Facilitator at Girl Scouts of the USA. That same year, they also began working as a Programming Intern at CUTCO Cutlery. In this role, they worked with a team to maintain and improve legacy software and move towards implementing web-based applications in Python. Michelle also helped to build the foundation of an internal website using Django with a focus on readability and maintainability, and mentored interns. In 2019, they began working as a Software Engineer at Torch.

Michelle Vick attended Penfield High School from 2009 to 2013. Michelle then went on to St. Bonaventure University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, magna cum laude, from 2013 to 2017. Michelle also obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, magna cum laude, from 2017 to 2018.
