Arie Opps has a diverse work experience in marketing and digital marketing roles. Arie started as a Manager of Marketing and Communications at Ophea in 2000, where they led a successful omni-channel campaign and partnered with prominent CPG firms. Arie then launched their own marketing consultancy, Illuminate Marketing, and worked with clients such as Labatt and Purolator. They subsequently served as the Director of Marketing Research at Hotspex, managing multiple research projects for tier-1 brands. Arie also held a contract position at CNIB as a Manager of Digital Marketing, co-leading a national awareness campaign. They later joined Second Harvest as a Marketing Manager, implementing a website redesign and email strategy that significantly improved engagement rates. Arie then transitioned to the role of Director of Digital Marketing at MedicAlert Foundation Canada, overseeing growth, acquisition, retention, and product sales. Most recently, Arie joined CloudMD as the Director of Digital Marketing, achieving impressive revenue results and managing a substantial budget. Currently, Arie serves as the Director of Marketing, Communications & Membership at the Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club.
Arie Opps has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from York University. They also completed a Continuing Education Program at the Schulich School of Business, which is also a part of York University. Additionally, Arie Opps has obtained several certifications including "Getting Started With Python" from the University of Michigan, "A Crash Course In Data Science" from The Johns Hopkins University, "Google Ads Display Certification" and "Google Ads Search Certification" from Google, "Improve SEO for Your Ecommerce Site" from LinkedIn, "Advanced Digital Analytics" from Google, "Digital Transformation" from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, and "Inbound Marketing" from HubSpot Academy.
