Brian Tossan has extensive work experience in various roles at General Motors, starting from 1999. Brian held positions such as Director of Global Innovation, Director of Canadian Technical Centre, Director of Strategy & Business Transformation, and Manager of the Customer Care Center. Tossan was responsible for directing product engineering, leading innovation teams, developing strategies, executing business intelligence, and driving a customer-centric approach. Brian also had prior experience as a Mold Designer at Husky Injection Molding Systems and was an alumni participant of the Governor General's Canadian Leadership Conference in 2012. Currently, Tossan serves as the Chief Technology Officer at the Greater Toronto Airports Authority since 2023.
Brian Tossan has a strong educational background in business and engineering. Brian completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto between 1994 and 1998. Brian then pursued further studies at Purdue University, where they obtained their Master of Science in Engineering (M. Sc. Eng) with a focus on Multi-Disciplinary Engineering from 2000 to 2004.
In 2005, Brian Tossan joined Indiana University - Kelley School of Business to pursue an MBA degree in Strategic Management, which they completed in 2008.
In addition to their formal education, Brian Tossan has obtained two certifications. In 2006, they became a Six Sigma Green Belt certified by GM University. In 2013, they completed the B.O.L.D Diversity Leadership program offered by LCI Associates Inc | Diversity Advantage International.
