Sharon Fernandes, CHRL has a diverse work experience spanning over different industries and roles. Sharon's career began as a Communications Assistant at CIBC in May 2005, where they worked until November 2005. Throughout their career, Sharon has gained extensive experience in human resources, talent management, recruitment, marketing communications, and social media.
Sharon Fernandes, CHRL has a strong educational background in the field of Human Resources and Communications. In 2013, they obtained a Human Resources Management Certificate from Ryerson University. Prior to that, in 2004-2005, they attended Humber College and completed a PR Certificate, focusing on Public Relations and Corporate Communications. In 2001-2004, Sharon attended Western University where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Media Information and Technoculture.
In addition to their formal education, Sharon has also pursued further certifications to enhance their professional skills. In 2023, they completed the Workplace Investigations Training and Certificate Program offered by HRPA - the Human Resources Professionals Association. This program equipped their with comprehensive skills for conducting workplace investigations. The following year, in 2022, Sharon attained the Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation from HRPA, further solidifying their expertise in the HR field.
