Sandra Pearson

Interim Principal Librarian at Toronto Symphony Orchestra

Sandra Pearson is an experienced music professional with a strong background in orchestral performance and music librarianship. Since September 2021, Sandra has held the position of Interim Principal Librarian and Substitute Librarian at the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. With extensive experience as a cellist for the United Nations Symphony Orchestra and serving in various capacities within the New York Repertory Orchestra, including Back of the cello section and Principal Bassoon, Sandra has cultivated a versatile musical career. Additionally, Sandra contributed to the New York Philharmonic as Assistant Principal Librarian for over two decades, ensuring the accuracy and organization of orchestral scores. An accomplished educator, Sandra earned a Master of Information in Archives and Records Management from the University of Toronto and holds degrees in Music Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Cincinnati.
