Senior Design Engineer-automatic Train Control at Toronto Transit Commission (TTC)

Benson (Ran) Wei, P.Eng, has extensive experience in the field of engineering, particularly in automatic train control and railway signaling systems. Since February 2019, Benson has served as a Senior Design Engineer at the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), previously holding the role of Design Engineer for Signals Automatic Train Control. Prior to working at TTC, Benson was a System Design Specialist at Thales, contributing to major projects such as the £5.4 billion London Underground Four Lines Modernisation, where responsibilities included system modeling and performance analysis. Benson also has experience in power distribution engineering, quality assurance automation, IT analysis, and database administration, with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
