Mitch DeShane, CPA has a diverse range of work experience in accounting and finance. Mitch is currently working as a Division Controller at Tosoh Corporation since November 2021.

Before joining Schneider Downs, Mitch served as the Corporate Controller at Franklin Equipment, LLC from March 2016 to November 2017. Mitch was responsible for overseeing the Accounting Department and Treasury Management of a rapidly growing Equipment Sales and Rental Company. Mitch focused on improving internal controls, enhancing financial reporting accuracy, and implementing cash flow forecasting procedures.

From May 2014 to March 2016, Mitch worked as the U.S. Controller at Green Biologics Limited. Their responsibilities included financial reporting, internal controls, accounting process improvements, payroll oversight, and supporting HR activities. Mitch played a vital role in developing and implementing efficient accounting and HR policies and procedures.

Mitch started their career at Clark, Schaefer, Hackett & Co., where they worked from January 2006 to November 2014. Mitch served as an Audit Manager, performing assurance services for mid-market non-public manufacturers and commercial services. Additionally, they conducted risk-based audits of employee benefit plans for both public and non-public companies.
