David Lee

Product Designer at Toss

David Lee has a range of work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2006, they served as a Sergeant in the US Army until 2008. David then worked as a User Experience Design Intern at NAVER Corp in 2009. In 2008, they became an Industrial Designer at the Korea Institute of Design Promotion, where they worked until 2011. Concurrently, they also worked as a User Experience Designer at Handong Global University from 2008 to 2010. In 2014, they briefly worked as an Art Instructor at YWAM Associates. From 2015 to 2019, they worked as a Senior UX Designer at Daylight. Following that, they joined Design Spectrum in 2017 as a Community Manager and Front-End Developer. In 2019, they transitioned to ProtoPie as a Product Designer until 2022. Finally, they joined Viva Republica (Toss) in 2022 as a Product Designer.

From 2012 to 2013, David pursued a Ph.D Course in Human Computer Interaction at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.

Next, from 2010 to 2012, they earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Human Computer Interaction from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.

During the same period of 2010 to 2011, David participated in a Master Exchange Program at Delft University of Technology, focusing on Industrial Design Engineering.

Before their postgraduate studies, David obtained a Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) in Human-Centered Design from Handong Global University. The specific start and end years for this degree are not available.

In 2020, David furthered their expertise by completing an Online Course at New York University, where they studied UX design principles for AR & VR.
