Tristian Barrett

Tristian Barrett has a diverse range of work experience in software engineering and leadership roles. Their most recent position was as an Engineering Manager at TotallyMoney, where they focused on F# and .NET development, as well as AWS, Serverless, and DevOps. Prior to that, they worked as a Full Stack Team Lead at LendInvest, leading a team of backend and frontend developers, and overseeing the development of the Loan Engine product.

Tristian also worked as a Development Team Leader at GroupM, where they played a crucial role in the development of major features for the Metis Digital Media buying program. Tristian has previous contract positions as a Software Engineer at Nurph, sgfleet, and Silkroute UK Ltd, where they contributed to various projects and achieved notable accomplishments such as developing a chat replay feature and building a fully-featured reporting system.

Tristian's early work experience includes being a Software Engineer Lead at Wastelink, where they led the development of multiple software systems for fundraising, CRM, invoice tracking, and liquid waste management. Tristian also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Tesco, focusing on C# development for online grocery delivery processes and making significant improvements in performance.

Tristian Barrett completed a Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) degree in Software Engineering from Western Sydney University. Tristian attended the university from 1999 to 2002. In addition to their formal education, Tristian has obtained several certifications from Coursera. Tristian completed courses in Data Analysis and Statistical Inference in April 2014, Automata in December 2013, Coding the Matrix: Linear Algebra through Computer Science Applications in August 2013, Game Theory in February 2013, Machine Learning in July 2012, and Probabilistic Graphical Models in May 2012.
