Nebahat Karadağ

Nebahat Karadağ is a junior merchandiser at Touché Privé. Nebahat previously worked at Aster Textile from September 2019 to November 2021, where they were responsible for purchasing fabric for the company. During their time at Aster Textile, they became familiar with the Canisas program and was able to use it to streamline the purchasing process. Nebahat also worked with the Lacoste and Gant customer groups to select fabrics for their collections.

In their role as a purchasing planner, Nebahat was responsible for organizing the purchasing schedules for all of the customer groups at Aster Textile. This involved working with the sales team to gather information about each customer’s specific needs and then creating a report that outlined the details of the fabric order, including price and supplier. Once the order was placed, they would follow up to ensure that it was received and entered into the system correctly.

As a member of the purchasing team, Nebahat was also responsible for managing the inventory of fabrics at Aster Textile. This involved keeping track of incoming and outgoing shipments of fabric, as well as checking invoices to ensure that all of the orders were accounted for. Nebahat would also prepare reports on the status of each order, detailing what had been shipped and what still needed to be fulfilled.

In their role as a collection coordinator, Nebahat worked with the Lacoste and Gant customer groups to select fabrics for their collections. This involved working with the design team to understand their vision for each collection and then selecting fabrics that would work well with the overall aesthetic. Nebahat would also work with the sales team to negotiate prices with suppliers and place orders for the fabrics needed for each collection.
