Adam Brown has a background in manufacturing and production within the biopharmaceutical industry. Adam started their career at Porton Biopharma Ltd in 2018 as a Senior Production Technician, where they manufactured Erwinase, a drug used to treat Acute Lymphocytic Leukaemia. Adam worked in cleanrooms up to grade C and was responsible for running fermentations at both intermediate (50L) and production (750L) scale. In 2019, Adam joined Touchlight as a Manufacturing Scientist. Adam initially worked in that role until September 2021, during which time they manufactured DNA for pharmaceutical research and genetic treatments. Adam adhered to cGMP standards in cleanrooms up to Grade D and utilized techniques such as Ion Exchange & Size Exclusion Chromatography, TFF, Electrophoresis, and DNA purification. In October 2021, Adam was promoted to the position of Senior Manufacturing Scientist at Touchlight, where they continue to contribute their expertise.
Adam Brown earned a Master's degree in Industrial Biotechnology from the University of York from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences (Hons) from the University of Plymouth from 2012 to 2015.
