Don Rice

Don Rice has a diverse work experience in the field of information security and technology. Don most recently worked as a Senior Information Security Analyst at TouchNet, a Global Payments Company, starting in November 2021. Prior to that, they were a Senior Security Engineer at Cerner Corporation from October 2020 to October 2021. From June 2019 to September 2020, Don worked as a Senior Information Security Engineer at JM Family Enterprises, Inc. Don also gained experience as an Information Security Analyst at Hallmark Cards from August 2018 to May 2019.

Before transitioning to the private sector, Don served in the Missouri Air National Guard from July 2012 to February 2019. During their time there, they specialized in Radio Frequency Transmission Systems, deploying, sustaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various transmission devices and systems.

Don's work experience also includes a role at Burns & McDonnell, where they worked from August 2015 to August 2018. Don served as an Information Security professional, focusing on vulnerability management, configuring/troubleshooting Palo Alto firewalls, validating vulnerabilities with Metasploit Framework, and conducting password audits. Additionally, they also interned as a Network Operations Intern at Burns & McDonnell for a three-month period in 2015.

Don Rice completed an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from the Community College of the Air Force from 2006 to 2008. From 2009 to 2014, they attended Metropolitan Community College Kansas City and obtained an Associate in Computer Science with a focus on Computer Information Systems. After that, from 2013 to 2015, they attended the Community College of the Air Force again and earned an Associate of Science in Computer Science. Later, from 2014 to 2016, they attended Park University and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Information Systems. In addition to their academic qualifications, they have obtained several certifications including Nexpose Advanced Certified Administrator from Rapid7 in February 2017, Accredited Configuration Engineer 7.0 from Palo Alto Networks in January 2016, and Certified Ethical Hacker from EC-Council in July 2018.
