João da Gama Batista has accumulated extensive experience in quantitative finance, having worked at Tower Research Capital from 2019 to 2024 and at TransMarket Group, L.L.C. from 2015 to 2018. João holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Quantitative Finance from CentraleSupélec (2012-2015), an MSc in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (2009-2011), and a BSc in Engineering Physics from Instituto Superior Técnico (2006-2009).
