Dieter Dornisch, Ph.D., currently serves as Process Engineering Manager CMP at Tower Semiconductor, where responsibilities include CMP and Copper Damascene process development and manufacturing control for specialty semiconductor, MEMS, and silicon photonics devices. With extensive experience in the semiconductor industry, Dieter has held previous roles such as Process Engineering Manager for Diffusion, Thin Film, and CMP at Tower Semiconductor and Principal Engineer R&D at Jazz Semiconductor, focusing on high-density MIM capacitor module development and copper fill processes. Earlier experience includes positions as Sr. Scientist at IPEC/Athens, overseeing research and development for on-line instrumentation and as Sales Engineer at Metron Semiconductor Deutschland, managing technical sales for semiconductor capital equipment. Dieter holds a Ph.D. in Crystallography (Material Science) and a Diplom in Chemistry from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
