Morgan Gilbert, CPRP, has a diverse work experience in the field of recreation and events management. Starting in 2011 as an Office Assistant at the University of Georgia, Morgan went on to work as a Recreation Assistant and later as a Recreation Director at Festiva Hospitality Group, where they planned and implemented creative activity programs. In 2014, Morgan joined Carteret County Government as a Recreation Program Coordinator, responsible for supervising staff, managing budgets, and securing resources for programs. From 2016 to 2018, Morgan worked as a Community Program Coordinator at the City of Danville, where they created and managed various recreational programs and events. Currently, Morgan holds the position of Director of Recreation, Communication & Special Events at the Town of Atlantic Beach, overseeing festivals, community activities, and beachfront activities while serving as a liaison for the town.
Morgan Gilbert, CPRP, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies from The University of Georgia, which was earned from 2010 to 2012. Prior to this, Morgan attended Lee University from 2008 to 2010. In terms of certifications, Morgan obtained the Certified Parks and Recreation Professional designation from the National Recreation and Park Association in March 2017. Additionally, Morgan has certifications in Water Fitness Instruction, Professional Rescuer and First Aid, AED, and CPR, all acquired in August and November 2012.
