Bruce Oakley

Bruce Oakley serves as the Town Manager for the Town of Carolina Beach since February 2020, previously holding the position of City Manager for the City of Southport, NC, from September 2017 to February 2020. Prior to that, Bruce Oakley was the Town Manager for the Town of Oak Ridge from 2004 to September 2017 and worked as a Senior Planner for Guilford County from 2000 to 2004. Earlier experience includes serving as a Planner for the City of Reidsville from 1998 to 2000. Bruce Oakley holds a Master's degree in Public Affairs (Administration) and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, along with completion of the Public Executive Leadership Academy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
