Christa S. McNamara

Christa S. McNamara currently serves as Town Clerk for the Town of Darien since November 2007 and holds several elected positions, including membership on the 5-person Darien Board of Selectmen, where responsibilities include setting the Town budget and appointing local Board and Commission members, and the 9-person Board of Education, which oversees a budget exceeding $100 million and hires the district Superintendent. Additionally, Christa is a member of the 100-person Representative Town Meeting, where involvement includes serving as clerk and vice chair of the Education subcommittee. Previous professional experience includes roles as Terminal Sales/Regional Business Manager at Bloomberg LP from 1992 to 2002 and as a Municipal Bond Markets reporter at Bloomberg News from 1990 to 1992. Christa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of the Holy Cross and a Master's degree from Manhattanville University, as well as having graduated from Rye High School in New York.
