Tom Baptist

Tom Baptist is an accomplished professional in environmental science and public works, currently serving as the Public Works Project Manager - Sustainability and Acting Director of Public Works for the Town of East Hartford, CT, since January 2019. Prior to this role, Tom Baptist held the position of Superintendent of Public Works for the City of Hartford, where responsibilities included overseeing 2,300 acres of parkland and historic recreation facilities. Tom Baptist has extensive experience from a notable tenure at the National Audubon Society as Vice President and Executive Director, as well as serving as Conservation Director for the Town of Greenwich. Tom Baptist holds a Master of Science in Environmental Science from the University of New Haven and a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Conservation from the University of Connecticut.
