Derek Marion

Derek Marion has extensive law enforcement experience, serving since October 2004 as a Lieutenant in the Patrol Division for the Town of Kernersville, with additional roles including Specialized Driving Instructor, Sergeant in both the Special Operations Division and Patrol Division, K9 Handler for Narcotics Detection, SWAT Team Member focused on entry and sniper operations, and Police Detective specializing in narcotics investigations. Previous experience includes serving as a Task Force Officer with the Drug Enforcement Administration from August 2010 to January 2014 and as a Police Officer in Winston-Salem from December 2002 to October 2004. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Western Carolina University and an Associate's degree in General Studies from Surry Community College.
