Jamel V. Vanderburg

Jamel V. Vanderburg is an experienced educator and professional with a diverse background in teaching, records management, and consulting. Currently serving as an Instructor at AdmissionSquad since July 2020, Jamel focuses on preparing middle school students for the SHSAT exam, achieving significant improvements in their math scores. As an Adjunct Professor at St. John's University and the New York Institute of Technology, Jamel designs projects and courses that foster critical thinking and engagement with New York City's political landscape. In addition, Jamel holds a position as a Records Management Specialist for the Town of North Hempstead, ensuring compliance with information management regulations. Jamel's previous roles include Social Media Consultant for National Urban Fellows and a fellow in their Masters in Public Administration program. Jamel holds multiple degrees, including two Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and a Master of Public Administration, and is currently pursuing two Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Leadership and Change, and Public Policy and Social Justice.
