Milton Fistel, P.E., F.ASCE, has extensive experience in civil engineering and environmental management. Fistel has served as a member of various committees including the Earth Advisory Committee, Harbor Advisory Committee, and Renewable Energy Committee for the Town of Swampscott since 2005, focusing on noise control mitigation and grant applications for renewable projects. As the owner and president of Fistel & Associates, Inc. since 1983, Fistel oversees all firm operations. Previous experience includes serving as a Senior Environmental Engineer for the Central Artery/Tunnel Project with Bechtel/Parsons Brinckerhoff from 1989 to 1999, managing construction noise and vibration mitigation. Additionally, Fistel held the position of Project Manager with the Massachusetts Department of Public Works from 1962 to 1982. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and certification in Hazardous Materials Management and Waste Technology from Northeastern University.
