Msem Dan Schaefer

Dan Schaefer, MSEM, currently serves as the Emergency Management Coordinator for the Township of Upper Providence and an instructor at Temple University. As President of Schaefer Safety Services LLC since October 2021, Dan provides risk assessments, planning, and training for churches and houses of worship. Previously, Dan was a Homeland Security Instructor at Eastern Center for Arts & Technology, preparing future public safety professionals. Dan's extensive law enforcement background includes serving as a Police Sergeant for Cheltenham Township Police Dept., along with roles at Delaware Capitol Police and Stark County Sheriff's Office. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from Millersville University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government from Eastern University, along with a specialization certificate in Healthcare Organizations Operations from Rutgers University.
