Jonathan Yao

Jonathan Yao is a Lab Manager at Toyota Research Institute, where responsibilities include design and fabrication, vendor management, and project management within the fields of robotics, autonomous driving, and testing operations. Prior to this role, Jonathan Yao served as a Lab Tech at the same organization, contributing to similar projects. From August 2008 to February 2018, Jonathan Yao was an Instructor at Bay Area Glass Institute, teaching various glass art processes while maintaining equipment such as kilns and furnaces. Additionally, Jonathan Yao worked as a Lab Tech for Adecco at Google from November 2014 to November 2016, focusing on rapid prototyping and 3-D modeling. Jonathan Yao holds a Master’s Degree in Spatial Arts from San Jose State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sculpture with a focus on Glass from San Francisco State University.
