Kate Sieck, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Kate is currently the Director of Human-Centered AI at Toyota Research Institute, where they lead the Harmonious Communities Department, focusing on integrating AI technology for collective well-being and global happiness. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief Scientist at AgencyAgile Inc. In addition, they served as the Director of Business Intelligence and Market Analysis at the RAND Corporation, specializing in the social determinants of behavioral and cognitive change. Kate has also worked as an independent researcher, a Manager at ReD Associates, and an Anthropologist and Director of Research at Olson. Kate has taught as a lecturer at the University of Minnesota and worked as a freelance anthropologist and researcher. Kate Sieck, PhD, obtained their Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of Chicago between the years 1988 and 1992. Kate further pursued their studies and completed a Master's degree in Medical Anthropology at SOAS University of London from 1994 to 1995. Kate's educational journey reached its culmination with a PhD in Anthropology from Emory University, where they were enrolled from 1995 to 2004.
