Evan Cohen

Evan Cohen currently serves as the Director of Portfolio Engagement for the Climate Fund at Toyota Ventures, a position held since May 2022. Prior to this role, Evan worked as an Accelerator Manager at SVG Ventures | THRIVE from January 2021 to May 2022 and as the Founding-Director of the Agtech Cohort and Co-Director of the Cleantech Cohort at Global Affairs Canada from April 2017 to January 2021. Experience also includes serving as a Special Advisor in the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy at the U.S. Department of Energy from September 2014 to January 2017, where involvement included membership in the White House’s Climate Leadership Workshop and coordination for the Secretary of Energy. Earlier career highlights include a tenure as a Legislative Assistant at The White House from January 2012 to September 2014 and military service as an Infantry Squad Leader in the United States Marine Corps Reserves from July 2008 to February 2015, with deployment during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
