Brent Gumns Hostrawser has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. Brent began their career at Silicon Motor Speedway as a Software Engineer, where they designed and implemented a PC system for controlling dynamic content on LED display panels. Brent then moved on to Ronin Entertainment, where they worked as a Sr. 3D Software Engineer, leading the development of a full production pipeline and 3D engine for Xbox titles.

After that, Brent worked at Donnerwood Media as a Lead 3D Engine Developer, collaborating with teams to develop technical requirements and design a browser-based character 3D engine. Brent then joined IWin Inc as a Lead Game Engineer, where they led the technical design and implementation of Hasbro's Battleship: Fleet Command for PC.

Brent later joined Mineshaft Entertainment as a Sr. Software Engineer, focusing on network, gameplay, and AI code improvements for Nokia's Pro Series Golf. Brent streamlined the daily workflow and tasking of development and QA teams, improving developer efficiency and product quality.

Continuing their career, Brent joined Sony Computer Entertainment America as a Senior Programmer and Modular Lead for MLB The Show. Brent was responsible for the complete UI pipeline, tools, and runtime engine, as well as team level baseball logic. Brent implemented workflow and tool changes to reduce errors introduced through the art data pipeline, designed and created an In Game Commerce system, and implemented all purchase items.

Currently, Brent works at Toys For Bob, where they have held various roles. Brent started as an Expert Software Engineer in 2012 and has worked their way up to become the Director of Engineering in 2019.

Brent Gumns Hostrawser completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Notre Dame from 1994 to 1998. Following that, they attended the Savannah College of Art and Design in 1998 to 1999, but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study during that period.
