Hashim Sadiq Ali

Hashim Sadiq Ali has an extensive work experience spanning over several companies. Hashim started their career at PwC in 1991, working as a Senior Manager until 2006. At PwC, they led various audit groups and was responsible for planning, supervision, and direction of audit engagements.

In 2006, Hashim joined MetLife and held several roles during their tenure. Hashim served as the Chief Financial Officer at IGI Life Insurance Limited, formerly known as American Life Insurance Company (Pakistan) Limited, from April 2014 to November 2014. Hashim was responsible for managing the accounts department, taxation, payroll, and statutory reporting.

At MetLife, Hashim also served as the Financial Controller from November 2006 to April 2014. Hashim managed finance functions, statutory and group reporting, and was additionally responsible for corporate reporting, investment, taxation, and HR functions. Hashim reported to the regional Chief Financial Officer in Dubai and later in Hong Kong.

Hashim also acted as the Compliance Officer at MetLife from October 2012 to September 2013. Alongside their role as the Financial Controller, they ensured compliance with local laws, implemented group policies and procedures, and developed a comprehensive compliance risk management program.

In 2014, Hashim joined TPL Trakker Ltd. as the Head of Internal Audit. Hashim held this role until April 2016.

From 2016 to 2022, Hashim worked at TPL Life Insurance Limited in multiple positions. Hashim served as the Chief Financial Officer from May 2016 to April 2022, overseeing functions such as finance, taxation, payroll, and statutory reporting. Additionally, they held the position of Chief Operating Officer from March 2021 to December 2022.

Currently, Hashim is the Group Chief Internal Auditor at TPL Corp Ltd., starting in January 2022.

Hashim Sadiq Ali's education history includes obtaining a degree in Accounting from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. Hashim pursued this degree from 1991 to 1997. Additionally, from 1991 to 1996, they also attended the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Pakistan, although the field of study for this degree is unspecified.
