Rob Barnett Cfa, Frm

Rob Barnett, CFA, FRM has extensive work experience in finance and valuation. Rob is currently serving as a Director at TriplePoint Capital since June 2020. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Finance at HydroTech Solutions LLC, where they served as the CFO of a profitable start-up focused on water conservation as a service. Rob worked at HydroTech from October 2019 to June 2020.

Rob also has experience as a Sr. Vice President at Valuation Research Corporation from December 2010 to October 2019. In this role, they provided portfolio and security valuations for asset managers including Hedge Funds, Venture Capital, Private Equity, and institutional managers.

Before joining Valuation Research Corporation, Rob worked as a Manager in the Complex Securities Group at Ernst & Young from February 2009 to January 2011. Prior to that, they served as a Manager at Kroll Associates Inc. from March 2006 to January 2009, where they specialized in business enterprise valuations.

Rob also worked as a Trainer at Decisioneering, Inc. (now Oracle Inc.) from 2003 to 2008, teaching seminars on Crystal Ball and Monte Carlo simulation. Rob was an Instructor at Becker Professional Review from 2003 to 2006.

Early in their career, Rob served as an Associate in the Financial Advisory Services group at Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin from September 2004 to March 2005. Rob also worked as a Manager at KPMG LLP from 1998 to 2002.

Throughout their career, Rob has developed expertise in financial reporting valuations, derivative valuations, enterprise valuations, and portfolio management. Rob specializes in the use of Monte Carlo simulation and lattice valuation models.

Rob Barnett, CFA, FRM began their education by attending UC San Diego from 1986 to 1992. Rob obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering during this time. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education in the field of finance. From 1996 to 1998, Rob attended Georgetown University McDonough School of Business, where they earned an MBA with a focus on Finance & Derivatives. In 1997, they also had the opportunity to enhance their financial knowledge by attending Melbourne Business School for a short period to study finance as part of their MBA program.
