Darren Patterson

Darren Patterson has a wide range of experience in various roles and industries. Darren started their career as a Help Desk Level 2 at Stanford University before advancing to roles such as Senior Systems Analyst and Tech Lead. At Stanford, Darren also served as a Team Lead and provided IT strategic planning and execution. Darren then transitioned to the private sector, working as a Director of DevOps at Craftsy and as a Director of Technical Infrastructure at eBags. Darren also has experience in consulting, where they focused on cloud, virtualization, security, and technical operations. Darren later joined Enabled Energy as a Director of Analytics/BI and CAO, and also worked as an Independent Contractor at DP Guardian. Darren joined Trace3 in 2019, where they held various leadership positions including Cloud Solution Director, Practice Director, and currently, AWS Practice Director. In addition to their work in the IT field, Darren has also served as a Board Member for a non-profit, assisting in the establishment of a private grade school and providing strategic oversight for associated ventures. Darren's expertise lies in AWS, DevOps, technical infrastructure, analytics, and project management.

Darren Patterson obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from the University of Denver in 2014. Darren earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from San Jose State University from 2001 to 2003. Darren also completed the Advanced Project Management program at Stanford University's Center for Professional Development from 2007 to 2011. Darren participated in the IT Leadership Program (ITLP) at Stanford University's IT Services in 2010. Additionally, Darren holds various certifications, including the Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals certification from Microsoft (obtained in 2023), the ITIL Foundation Certification (obtained in 2015), the Stanford Certified Project Manager (SCPM) certification (obtained in 2011), and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² (expired, obtained in February, year not specified). Darren also has an AWS Solution Architect Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
