Mikko Joensuu

Mikko Joensuu has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2008 with a Trainee role at Boliden Kokkola. During this time, they also completed a Master Thesis titled "Optimization of conditions of washing acid treatment process" which identified possible process changes resulting in significant cost savings. In 2011, they joined Nordic Mines Oy as a Project Manager/Production Support, where they were responsible for mill's development projects and supporting the production organization. Mikko was also Acting Plant Manager and Process Engineer, supervising gold plant commissioning, responsible for general process controlling, and supervising shifts and shift foremen. In 2014, they moved to Pentti Hämeenaho Oy, where they held the roles of Construction Manager and Project Manager. Finally, in 2017, they joined Tracegrow Oy as Operations Director and in 2019, they became Chief Operating Officer and CEO of Tracegrow.

Mikko Joensuu attended the University of Oulu from 2003 to 2009, where they earned a Master's degree in Process Engineering. Mikko then returned to the University of Oulu in 2011 to study Project Management.
