Alan Spencer

Alan Spencer has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Alan started their career in 2009 as a Development Process Specialist at Rockall Technologies, where they introduced agile practices and re-architected the solution. Alan then worked as a Director at Pearlman-Spencer Consulting and later joined Dun & Bradstreet as an Agile Leader. In 2012, they founded the Agile-Lean meetup Dublin, a meetup group for practitioners of Agile and Lean. Alan also worked as a Senior Consultant at Rockall Technologies, where they contributed to performance optimization and implemented a new authorization model. Alan then joined Spencer Consulting as a Principal Consultant and MongoDB, Inc. as a Senior Technical Services Engineer. At MongoDB, they presented a reference application on the Internet of Things and received positive feedback. In 2015, they joined Teradata Consulting and held various roles, including Director of ML Engineering for EMEA and Data Science Lead. Alan later joined Protegrity as a Senior Manager of Customer Success and is currently working as the Field CTO for EMEA at Tracer.

Alan Spencer attended Newpark from 1985 to 1993 and completed their Leaving Certificate. Afterward, they attended Trinity College Dublin from 1993 to 1997, where they obtained a BA degree in Mathematics.
