Eli Packer

Eli Packer has worked in a variety of roles in the software and algorithm development field since 1995. Eli began their career as a Software Developer at Motorola Semi Conductor, where they designed and implemented sophisticated algorithms. Eli then moved on to Algorithm Developer roles at CGAL - The Computational Geometry Algorithms Library and Orbotech Ltd. From 2003 to 2008, Packer was a Full time PhD Student at Stony Brook University and a Research Scientist at IBM Research Center, Watson, USA. In 2009, they became a Research Scientist at IBM Research Center, Haifa, Israel, developing algorithms and solutions for location-aware problems. From 2016 to 2021, Packer worked as a Software and algorithm developer at Intel Corporation, developing novel algorithms and software that combine 3D modeling, 3D reconstruction, computer vision, algorithms, computer graphics, and parallel programming. Most recently, they worked as a Computer Vision Engineer at Mobileye and is currently a Senior Algorithm Engineer at Track160.

Eli Packer has a long and varied educational history. Eli earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University in 1995, a Master of Science in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University in 2002, and a PhD in Computer Science from Stony Brook University in 2008.
