Nimesh Patel

Nimesh P. has a extensive work experience in the field of software testing and quality assurance. Nimesh currently holds the position of Director of QA at Trackforce Valiant + TrackTik, where they have been working since 2020. Prior to that, they served as a Software QA Manager at the same company from November 2020 to May 2023.

Before joining Trackforce Valiant + TrackTik, Nimesh worked at Valtech Canada as a Software QA Team Lead from October 2016 to November 2020. Nimesh also has experience as a Co-Organizer at Montreal Insights Into Software Testing, a software testing peer conference, from April 2013 to December 2018.

In addition, Nimesh has held several roles such as Software Test Manager & Strategist at QAonRequest from August 2015 to September 2016, Software Test/QA Consultant (Contract) at Standard Life from July 2014 to March 2015, and Test Lead, Franchise Quality Assurance & Testing at FGL Sports Ltd from December 2013 to June 2014.

Earlier in their career, Nimesh worked as a Software Test/QA Consultant (Contract) at Standard Life from October 2012 to November 2013, a SOA Test Analyst, Consultant - Integration Team DSEIIA (Contract) at National Bank of Canada from May 2012 to September 2012, a Software Tester, Research & Development at Aptilon from April 2008 to February 2012, and a QA Engineer at Tungle Corporation from October 2007 to April 2008.

Throughout their career, Nimesh has had hands-on experience in various aspects of software testing, including test strategy creation, test plan execution, test design, defect reporting and status follow-up. Nimesh has worked on projects in multiple lines of business and has expertise in Agile and SCRUM methodologies.

Nimesh P. holds a DEC in Computer Science Technology from Vanier College. In 2010, they obtained their certification as a Certified Software Tester from the QAI Global Institute. In 2013, they completed the Graduate program in BBST Foundations 2.0 from the Association for Software Testing. In 2020, Nimesh completed a course in Rapid Software Testing for Managers, with a focus on Computer Software Engineering. In 2023, they participated in a course called Rapid Software Testing Focused: Risk. Additionally, Nimesh has obtained several certifications including TrackTik Rising Star in January 2021, Communication Foundations from LinkedIn in August 2020, and Setting a Foundation for Successful Test Automation from TestAutomationU in December 2019.
