Mikhail Kokho

Mikhail Kokho is a highly experienced software engineer and architect with a strong background in backend development and solutions architecture. Currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer at Trade Me since May 2023, Mikhail previously held the position of Senior Solutions Architect at Aiven, where expertise was provided to major customers in the APAC region on services such as Kafka, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, and Redis. Mikhail's career includes significant roles at Blerter as Team Lead Backend and Solutions Architect, where efforts were focused on creating scalable platforms, and at Air New Zealand as a Senior Software Engineer, leading the development of a new internal product. Mikhail's experience also includes software engineering at Movio, where contributions were made to transform a monolith application into a microservices architecture. Mikhail's educational background features a PhD in Computer Science from The University of Auckland and a Master's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Irkutsk State University.
