Ron Glickman

Ron Glickman is the current Chief Information Officer at Trader Joe's. Ron has also previously served as the Chief Information Officer at UTi Worldwide Inc. from February 2007 to May 2013. During their time at UTi, they were responsible for successfully integrating and unifying disparate staff, processes, and technologies from acquired business units for a global, non-asset based supply chain services company with 20,000 employees in 69 countries. This included taking over 580 employees, 462 applications in 25 languages, 60 data centers, and multiple single points of failure.

Glickman managed a $90M annual operating expense budget, $10M in capital investment, and $75M transformational capital investment budget. Ron was able to successfully transform IT into a center-lead enterprise function with unprecedented results over 5 years by refreshing core data center/network/messaging infrastructures, consolidating sales force, financial management, warehouse management, and web solutions, and developing a new freight forwarding operating platform using modern technologies and development methods.

Ron also implemented Oracle E-Business to enable the consolidation of financial transaction processing from hundreds of offices to 3 regional shared services facilities. In regards to shared services, they delivered $600,000+ in recurring global annual expense reductions and improved 40 internal processes by championing and training 179 people in Grass Roots Innovation (GRI), a methodology for engaging front-line workers. Additionally, they improved the business process effectiveness and efficiencies for global clients by deploying a global warehouse management and B2B integration platform that consolidated legacy systems.

Ron Glickman's educational career includes a Doctor of Education from California State University, Los Angeles in Leadership, an MBA from University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business in Business Administration and Management, and a BBA from National University in Business Administration and Management.
