Ayesha Khan

Ayesha Khan began their work experience as a Photo Lab/Customer Service Representative at Shoppers Drug Mart from June 2008 to August 2009. Ayesha then worked as a Distribution Centre employee at Winners Merchants INC. from April 2010 to August 2010.

In January 2011, Ayesha joined EY as a Staff Accountant in the Toronto Audit Group (TAG). Over the course of three years, they completed four co-op work terms and gained experience in year-end audits for various industries such as manufacturing, retail, mining, consumer products, entertainment, and not-for-profit.

From September 2014 to September 2016, Ayesha took on the role of Senior Staff Accountant at EY, focusing on the manufacturing and consumer products industry. Ayesha led reviews and audits of financial statements for large private and public clients, demonstrating expertise in ASPE, IFRS, and US GAAP Standards.

Ayesha then served as an Assurance Manager at EY from October 2016 to August 2019. In this position, they managed audits of Canadian publicly listed companies in the retail industry. Ayesha ensured compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards, prepared deliverables, and presented audit results to various stakeholders. Ayesha also collaborated with specialists and other groups within Ernst & Young to deliver exceptional service to clients. Ayesha possessed advanced technical knowledge in complex accounting issues, such as IFRS 15, IFRS 16, business combinations, consolidations, pensions, derivatives, and system conversions.

Since September 2019, Ayesha has been working as a Senior Manager in Finance & Accounting at autoTRADER.ca.

Ayesha Khan completed their education at the University of Waterloo. Ayesha began their academic journey in 2009 and graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Mathematics (Honours - Co-op program) degree. Their field of study during their undergraduate years was Mathematics/Chartered Accountancy with a specialization in the Finance Option. In 2014, they pursued further education at the same university and obtained a Master's degree in Accounting. Ayesha then obtained their CPA, CA certification from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario in May 2016.
