Mark Held has a diverse work experience in the advertising industry. Mark started their career as a Junior Art Director at DDB Group Australia, where they worked on projects for McDonald's, VW, Gatorade, and TAB. Mark then joined Havas as an Art Director before moving to Impact BBDO, where they served as a Senior Art Director and later as a Creative Group Head. At Impact BBDO, they led accounts for prominent brands such as Mars, Snickers, Skittles, Pepsi, Mercedes, and P&G. Following this, Mark worked as a Freelance Creative, collaborating with various agencies and brands such as JWT Sydney, Impact BBDO in Doha, and MEMAC Ogilvy in Dubai. In 2013, they co-founded We Do Ideas, a lean agency model that provided creative concepts to brands and agencies. Currently, Mark is the Creative Director at Traffik, a leading experiential agency owned by the Clemenger BBDO Group. Mark has been responsible for the development and launch of award-winning brand experiences for clients like Ikea, Carlton United Breweries, Diageo, and Samsung.
Mark Held completed their education history as follows:
- From 1989 to 1995, they attended Saint Ignatius' College Riverview and obtained a Higher School Certificate.
- In 1996, they enrolled at the University of Technology Sydney and pursued a Diploma in Communication, Media & Video, which they completed in 1997.
- In 1997, they joined Macquarie University and graduated in 2001 with a BMEDIA degree, majoring in Film.
- In 1999, they participated in a film student exchange program at The University of British Columbia, focusing on Film 16mm.
- In 2001-2002, they attended AWARD School, specializing in Creative Advertising.
