Willem Demmers

Willem Demmers is a notable entrepreneur and leader in the technology and entertainment industries. Currently serving as CEO and co-founder of Motorica since October 2023, Willem focuses on advancing generative AI for motion synthesis, drastically reducing animation production time. As Chairman of Pley since May 2016, Willem has overseen the world’s first instant gaming experience for high-quality games and previously held the role of CEO, where Willem successfully raised three rounds of funding and built a dynamic team of over 30 professionals. Prior experience includes being Product Manager for Pacemaker® from February 2012 to May 2016, where Willem led the development of an award-winning deep learning AI DJ app. Earlier, as a freelance Product Manager from February 2010 to February 2012, Willem aided various brands in digital transformation, and as a Product Designer at Tonium AB from February 2007 to February 2010, contributed to creating the first legal music streaming platform, which was sold to Beats by Dre and later transitioned into Apple Music.
